Marine rental company Ashtead Technology has announced the appointment of an agent for the Middle East and has appointed Emphor FZCO, a well established Dubai based technology solutions provider to represent the offshore division of the company.

Emphor will provide Ashtead Technology’s full equipment rental fleet, incorporating positioning equipment, ROV sensors, hydrographic and geophysical equipment and IRM and diving equipment to customers in the region.

A calibration facility, technical workshop and support facilities (with 24 hour technical support) as well as a training centre will also be provided from the Emphor facilities.

Ashtead Technology see the appointment of Emphor as a significant step in their plans for geographical growth. The company's Managing Director, Mark Derry said: “This agreement will allow us to offer enhanced support to existing and new customers in the region. With a local presence, fleet and calibration facilities, we can better serve our customers, providing fully calibrated, ready to use equipment, where and when they require it, saving cost and transit time.  Emphor are the ideal partner for Ashtead Technology, with 30 years experience in the Marine Sector and highly qualified engineers to support our rental fleet.”
