CarboClyde is the first CarboCAT completed by Kockums.
Kockums in Sweden has delivered its first CarboCAT catamaran, a vessel built using carbon fibre composite technology.
This first CarboCAT, named CarboClyde, has been adapted to meet the needs of offshore windfarms.
It was delivered to Fintry Marine Ltd on 5 September and set sail for Lübeck to be fitted out, after which it will will sail for Rostock where it will enter into service.
CarboClyde has a length of 23m, beam of 9m, a speed of 25 knots, cargo capacity of 8,000kg, crew of 3/4 and can carry 12 (max 24) passengers.
