TGS undertaking multi-client survey in North Viking GrabenProjects and Operations // July 16, 2010
TGS has commenced a new multi-client 3D survey in partnership with PGS. The project, NVG10, covers a 3,500 km2 area in the North Viking Graben area of the Norwegian North Sea.
The project is being acquired by Atlantic Explorer and utilizes PGS’ GeoStreamer technology.
“Substantial customer interest has encouraged a second consecutive year of data collection in this area, allowing TGS and PGS to continue building on the successful North Viking Graben multi-client 3D project acquired in 2009 with PGS,” said Kjell Trommestad, VP and General Director, Europe for TGS.
The NVG10 multi-client 3D survey is supported by industry funding and data from the survey will be available for customers from the second quarter of 2011.
