    GEMS mobilises new survey vessel.

    GEMS group in the UK has mobilised a new vessel, Aquarius, for the North Sea oil and gas and windfarm markets. With its overall length of 77m, Aquarius is equipped with multibeam and USBL equipment deployed through moonpools as well as a full range of geophysical and shallow geotechnical sampling equipment.

    The vessel provides good seakeeping and excellent station-keeping for geotechnical and environmental seabed equipment and has low acoustic noise levels suitable for the aquisition of high quality, ultra high resolution seismic data.

    The vessel has a full range of navigation, positioning, multi-beam and geophysical survey equipment and can also be mobilised with 48 or 96 channel high-res multi-channel capability.
