    Oil price will exceed US$100 in 2011 says Merrill Lynch

    The oil price will exceed US$100 per barrel mark in 2011 because of strength in emerging markets, Bank of America Merrill Lynch predicted recently.

    “We expect global oil markets to remain tight in the next five years on solid EM fundamentals. As a result, we remain positive on the outlook for oil prices, and still believe oil prices will break through $100/bbl sometime next year,” a research note from the bank said.
