    Canyon Offshore completes Glider burial

    Canyon Offshore has completed the burial of the Glider Field (GC 248) flowline for Shell Exploration and Production Company (SEPCo). The contract work scope included the trenching and backfill burial of the newly laid 6.625in (~8 inch OD) Glider flowlineto enhance the flow assurance properties of the line.

    The 32,000ft line was buried in 3,000 feet of water at the Brutus TLP end, and 3,300 feet of water at the G4 well location to an average depth of approximately 6ft.

    This makes the Glider project the deepest flowline burial project in the world.
