Marine EM introduction seminar to be held in AprilTraining // February 5, 2010
An in-depth introduction seminar to marine EM technology and its applications will be held in Trondheim, Norway 21-22 April 2010.
The seminar covers a wide range of areas, including operations, processing, interpretation and integration.
The seminar covers the following topics:
• Introduction to the marine EM method
• Feasibility and survey design
• Operations & QC
• Processing of marine EM data
• Introduction to inversion
• 2.5D inversion and 3D inversion
• Interpretation of marine EM data
• Integration - Bridge integration tool
• Case studies
EMGS, the organiser of the seminar, said it will be ideal for geologists and geophysicists who are interested in, or work within, marine EM data. "The training course will help you understand the technology and how to interpret the data. It has a strong focus on how to integrate EM data with seismic and other reservoir data," said EMGS.
The event will take place at EMGS headquarters in Trondheim. The course fee is US$1,500, including lunch and course material. The registration deadline is 6 April 2010.
