    Drydocks World issues statement regarding Ocean Lark

    Drydocks World has issued a further statement regarding the capsize of the anchor handler Ocean Lark.

    Said the company: "After seven days of search efforts, the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) and Indonesia's Rescue Sub-Centre Tanjung Pinang terminated the search and rescue (SAR) operation for missing persons from Ocean Lark on 12 January 2010."

    MPA will continue to inform vessels passing the vicinity of the incident site to keep a lookout for the missing persons that remain unaccounted for.

    Of the 12 crew members on board Ocean Lark when the incident happened at about 0500hrs (Singapore time) on 6 January 2010, two persons were rescued on 6 January 2010 and seven bodies were recovered in the course of the SAR operation.

    Confirmed fatalities are:
    Cornelis Selano, Master
    Syamsuddin Sabri, Chief Officer
    Fitriyadi Koda, Second Engineer
    Safrudin Sangaji, Cook
    Artinus Donari, OS
    Agustinus Taloko, Bosun
    Alfa Rambi, Second Officer

    Missing crew members are:

    Kartiko Tri Harjanto, oiler
    Suparno, AB
    Indra Armaiyn, AB

    A spokesman for Drydocks World - Southeast Asia said its priorities were continued support for the families of the crew and close dialogue with the authorities to understand the cause of the tragedy.
