IHC Engineering Business Ltd appoints new Business Developer for oil and gas

Tim Eley has been appointed by IHC Engineering Business Ltd (EB) as Business Developer Oil and Gas. Eley's role will be to build on the successes of EB within its existing customer base and product ranges, and to identify new business opportunities on which EB can continue to thrive and grow.
He will will be heading up EB’s new presence in Aberdeen, at the company’s newly opened satellite office at the Enterprise Centre, on the Science & Technology Park in Bridge of Don.
Toby Bailey, Managing Director said: “We are very pleased that Tim has joined our sales team. He will be a valuable addition in our continued focus on the oil and gas sector. The choice to establish a permanent base in the heart of the UK’s energy industry in Aberdeen is the next step in EB’s continued expansion and development of products and services for the offshore and subsea industries.”
Eley added: “I am very much looking forward to working closely with the knowledgeable and talented engineering and sales teams at EB. We plan to expand the business into new markets, products and services.”
Eley qualified with a BSc (Hons) from Strathclyde University in Glasgow in 1977. Earlier career roles working within international sales and marketing, strategic business development, technical sales and senior management for companies such as Halliburton, BJ, Transocean, Schlumberger and PSL have given him an excellent network amongst both operators and leading international service companies alike.
A past chairman and honoury life member of the Intervention & Coiled Tubing Association (ICoTA) he is also well know in well intervention circles. More recently, working as an independent business development consultant, he has assisted Dominion Gas & Argon Isotanks with market entry into Norway and Linjebygg Offshore, a Norwegian service company, to enter the UK North Sea.
Working with the likes of Aker Well Services, Sub Sea Intervention Ltd, and most recently OIS - Acteon Group, he is also familiar with the subsea sector, which is where EB plans to grow its business.
