GSP in Romania has announced the addition of GSP Neptun, the largest floating crane operating in the Black Sea, to its fleet. The vessel has a lifting capacity of 1,800 tonnes.
GSP said it belives that GSP Neptun is the largest offshore construction, platform installation, and decommissioning heavy lift crane in the Black Sea Basin.
GSP acquired the floating crane in order to support offshore construction activity the company carries out in the area. GSP Shipyard is currently producing the largest jacket and modular platforms in the Black Sea for the second development phase of the Akcakoca natural gas field. GSP plans to use the vessel offshore Romania, Turkey and Bulgaria.
