    Island Constructor sets world record for riserless well intervention

    Island Constructor recently set a new world record for well intervention.

    Ulstein Group in Norway has announced that an alliance of Island Offshore, FMC Technologies and Aker Well Service recently set a new world record for well intervention with a wireline intervention without riser in a water depth 401.2m.

    The intervention took place from Island Constructor in currents running at at 2.5 knot on BP's Schiehallion field.

    Island Constructor was delivered to Island Offshore last year and is an offshore construction and well intervention vessel.
