News - July 3, 2009
Various sources reports that Norwegian seismic survey company Scan Geophysical has been forced into filing a bankruptcy petition due to a combination of issues with newbuild orders at ABG shipyard and poor seismic market conditions.
The company's total debt is estimated at US$60-70 million. The company operated three vessels and had a further three on order at ABG.
