    Second Hartmann anchor hander named

    Vessel & ROV News // May 22, 2009

UOS Challenger is the second of a class of 12 AHTS for Hartmann Group.

The naming ceremony for UOS Challenger, the second of 12 anchor handlers ordered by German shipowner Hartmann Logistik (Hartmann Reederei Group) took place earlier this month at Fincantieri's Muggiano (La Spezia) shipyard. The vessel was built at Fincantieri's Palermo Shipyard.

The first of the modified Moss 424 anchor handlers - UOS Atlantis - was delivered in February. After UOS Challenger, another 10 units will be built at Fincantieri's Palermo, Riva Trigoso and Muggiano shipyards and delivered by mid-2010.

The design is known as the Moss 424 h, the 'h' signifying that this is a modified Moss 424 design developed for the Hartmann group.
