New safety guidelines due out soon

    News // May 22, 2009

A new set of guidelines for the Safe Management of Offshore Supply and Rig Moving Procedures is set to be released soon as part of the revised Northwest European Area Guidelines.

They are expected to include a number of recommendations
put forward by the Marine Safety Forum, which has been undertaking a series of working groups since the Bourbon
    Dolphin
    tragedy.

The updated set of NWEA guidelines will be published on May 28th. These new 2009 NWEA guidelines will then capture all aspects of the existing NWEA guidelines plus the MSF findings
and should provide a one-stop reference point.

So that all groups involved have easy and clear access to the new NWEA guidelines a new website has been established to provide access to the information. The website with the information can be found at www.nwea.info.
