    New contract for Aker Langsten

    Aker Langsten shipyard in Norway has entered into a contract with Rieber Shipping AS in Bergen, Norway, for construction of an icebreaking tug, Rieber Shipping AS having entered into a long term charter with Exxon Neftegas Limited, a subsidiary of ExxonMobil.

    The tug will assist tanker and icebreaking operations at the DeKastri oil terminal near Sakhalin Island in the north eastern region of Russia.

    The charter is for 15 years with options, and is running from September 2006.

    The ship is designed by Rieber Shipping AS and Multi Maritime AS in Førde, Norway, in cooperation with the shipyard.
