    Wilson Sons JV takes delivery of new PSV

    Petrel, the first PSV for the joint venture between Wilson Sons and Magallanes Navegação was christened in Rio at the end of March.

    Seabrokers said the vessel, which will operate for Petrobras, was built at Wilson Sons Shipyards in Guarujá (SP), in partnership with Damen in The Netherlands and WEG in Brazil (who provided the diesel-electric system).

    The 3,000 tonnes deadweight vessel is one of a series of five PSVs all named after birds: Albatross, Gaivota, Frigate, Pelican
    and Atobá.
