LR-Fairplay's Daily Newbuilding News reports that Wuchang Shipbuilding in China has won an order for two offshore supply vessels from China Oilfield Services.
LR-Fairplay said Wuchang has built ships in the past for this owner, having most recently delivered four offshore standby vessels in 2004.
The vessels in the latest order are 93.4m overall with a beam of 22m and a hull depth of 9.5m. The contract price has not been disclosed.
As LR-Fairplay also noted, Wuchang has a backlog of offshore vessels building for Toisa, together with a pair of research vessels for Chinese government-owned organisations.
