Consultation on European marine data infrastructureNews // April 24, 2009
The European Commission's Blue Book on maritime policy, welcomed by the Council in December 2007, proposed a European marine Observation and Data Network to improve access to high quality marine data and stimulate the maritime economy.
A roadmap has now been released outlining the current state of the marine infrastructure and possible ways forward.
Before taking further steps a public consultation has been set up in order to gauge opinion.
The Commission is interested in opinions from all stakeholders – private companies, regional administrations, research establishments etc.
This on-line consultation should only take about 10 minutes to complete. You can complete the questionnaire either on behalf of your administration or in a personal capacity.
The questionnaire and roadmap can be found on:
Period of consultation: From 7/4/2009 to 2/6/2009.
