    New vessels join Swiber fleet

    Vessel & ROV News // March 12, 2009

Swiber Holdings Limited has announced that two offshore construction vessels have already been successfully delivered to the company, and are currently deployed to various offshore locations in Asia.

One of them is the 120-man capacity/100 tonne dive support work barge, Swiber Supporter, which was delivered to Swiber on 31 January 2009 and is currently operating in India.

Notably, the barge has been contracted to work on offshore projects for the entire working season of 2009.

The other is the 248-man capacity/200 tonne pipelay barge, Swiber Concorde, which was delivered on 28 February 2009.

The barge is currently preparing for its first pipelay job for an oil major in South East Asia.

Said Mr Raymond Goh, Executive Chairman and Chief Executive of the Group: "To us, Swiber Concorde and Swiber Supporter are construction vessels that are very critical to our offshore operations. Their delivery not only reduces our third party charter and sub-contracting costs, it also significantly eases the vessel shortage situation we were facing to support our brimming pipeline of projects."

"With their arrivals, Swiber is diligently completing its pending
offshore construction work and expects to complete these projects by early in the second quarter."

Swiber Concorde and Swiber Supporter have expanded the company's fleet to a total of 34 vessels currently, comprising 27 offshore vessels and seven construction vessels.
