Record delegate numbers to attend Marine Propulsion conferenceNews // February 27, 2009
Demand for places at The Annual Marine Propulsion Conference, to be held March 11 and March 12, has already outstripped the levels achieved in 2008.
Both the number and geographical spread of delegates already registered to attend this year’s premier marine engineering conference – which once again takes the operational challenges faced by shipowners/operators as its overarching theme – is greater then that achieved in 2008.
The primary driver for this exceptional industry response is the combination of the focussed conference agenda of six technical sessions over two days and the outstanding networking opportunities inherent in the programme.
The setting for the 2009 event is the magnificent Millennium Gloucester Hotel and Conference Centre London. This modern, four-star deluxe hotel is located in the heart of Kensington making it easily reachable by public transport and with good links to international airports. The venue will play host to the conference, its supporting exhibition as well as the drinks receptions, networking lunches and popular gala dinner for which the event is justly renowned.
The programme will be opened by conference chairman Edwin Lampert, before David Pearson, Director of Engineering & Technology Naval, Rolls-Royce Marine gives a welcoming address on behalf of Rolls-Royce Marine, the event’s lead sponsor.
Explaining the engine manufacturers continued high level support for the Annual Marine Propulsion Conference Mr Pearson said: “All who attend will be challenged in their thinking and take something away with them that can be applied to improve their own operations or businesses.”
