    Keel laid for heavy lift construction vessel Borealis

    Nordic Heavy Lift has announced that on November 10th the keel of the heavy lift construction vessel Borealis was laid at Nantong Yahua Shipyard in Nantong, China.

    Nordic Heavy Lift is building the 5,000 tonne heavy lift monohull construction vessel with deep water installation capabilities at Sembawang Shipyard Pte Ltd, Singapore. The hull of the Borealis is being built at Nantong Yahua.

    For Nordic Heavy Lift's clients, Borealis will provide access to a new heavy lift construction vessel capable of lifting 5,000 tonnes for surface operations, while for deepwater installation work the vessel will be able to lower 1,000 tonnes to a water depth of 1,000m with its heave compensated deepwater system.
