Noordhoek in The Netherlands has ordered a DP 2 ROV/survey vessel.
Noordhoek Survey in The Netherlands has announced that it has ordered a new DP 2 ROV survey vessel.
The company said the decision to invest in another new vessel was the next next step in its growth strategy.
The company already has another vessel on order in Japan.
Delivery of the vessel is scheduled for the first quarter of 2010, when she will become the third vessel in operation with the company and Nordhoek's first ROV survey vessel.
The vessel will be built at the Dutch shipyard De Hoop, and will be 62m long with DP 2, diesel electric machinery, a moonpool, 25 tonne offshore crane, Work and Inspection class ROVs, towfish, ROTV systems and survey suite, plus accommodation for 40 people.
Said Noordhoek: "This new addition to the Noordhoek fleet demonstrates the company’s strong commitment to the IRM and survey market in the North Sea, where Noordhoek currently operates the DP 2DSV Noordhoek Singapore."
The other vessel under construction for the company is a DP 2 saturation DSV, which is under construction for delivery in the fourth quarter of 2009.
