    A2SEA acquires barge JB109

    Vessel & ROV News // October 2, 2008

A2SEA, a Danish contractor specialising in the transport, installation and service of offshore wind turbines, today announced that it has acquired the installation barge JB109 and related assets from Jack-Up Barge BV in The Netherlands for an undisclosed price. The barge will be renamed Sea Worker.

Following the acquisition of the barge, A2SEA’s fleet now includes two rigs and two special-purpose vessels, which means that A2SEA can now install foundations as well as topsides and larger turbines for offshore wind farms.
