Confidence running at a high level says OSL News
// April 29, 2005
Broker Offshore Shipbrokers Limited (OSL) says confidence remains high in the North Sea market throughout 2005 with Norwegian owners continuing to speculate with the purchase of further vessels. "The last few months have seen a dramatic shift of vessel ownership with a large number of UK vessels being sold off. In addition to the sale of the five Seacor vessels, the Inverforth and Inverclyde sales are now confirmed along with the Northern Sea and Northern Seeker, which have been sold to Seaport International, Dubai," said OSL.This optimism is also being strongly reflected in the Term market with rates for recent fixturescontinuing to creep upwards. However, OSL said lack of availability however is now becoming a factor particularly for modern PSVs during the summer months, which continue to be fixed away to support a variety drilling campaigns and project work.
