    ROV support vessel Olympic Challenger delivered

    Olympic Shipping in Norway has taken delivery of its latest newbuild, Olympic Challenger, a ROV support vessel.

    The vessel was formally delivered by Aker Yards on July 5th.

    Olympic Shipping describes the vessel as designed "with a focus on good seakeeping... and excellent station keeping. The vessel is environmental friendly with focus on low fuel consumption."

    The vessel bears the class notation: DNV +1A1, E0, SF, DYNPOS-AUTR, Clean, HL(+), DK(+), LFL*, Comf-v (3), Ice-C, Deice (opt), and was built at Aker Aukra.

    The Aker ROV 02 CD vessel is 105.9m overall,  with length (bp) of 94.7m, breadth of 21.0m, and depth to main deck of 8.5m.
