E R Aalesund is one of two new UT 755 LN PSVs for E R Schiffahrt.
Hamburg-based shipowner E R Schiffahrt celebrated a double naming ceremony for the first newbuildings to join its offshore fleet on June 21st.
The vessels E R Aalesund and E R Stavanger were named by Dr Antje Wünschmann, wife of Philipp Wünschmann (Deutsche Schiffsbank) and Mrs Marlies Temp, wife of Torsten Temp (HypoVereinsbank).
Both ships are UT 755 LN PSVs and were built at Aker Aukra shipyard in Norway.
“Our new platform supply vessels have a very good reputation amongst charterers and meet the highest technical standards,” said Willem Dekker, Managing Director at E R Schiffahrt.
The shisp will be managed by E R Schiffahrt along with two sister vessels to be delivered by the end of this year.
The company has 14 more offshore newbuildings in its orderbook.
