SCS is close to completing this AHTS for an Italain buyer.

South China Shipyard (SCS) in Jianmen, Guangdong China is putting the final touches on a sturdy new anchor handling tug for delivery to as yet unspecified Italian buyers.

The 42m by 11m vessel is powered by a pair of 60 litre V-16 Cummins QSK60 main engines. Each engine delivers 2,200hp at 1,800rpm to Reintjes WAF763 gears with 5.75:1 ratios and four-blade fixed-pitch propellers in nozzles.

Electrical needs are met by a pair of Cummins QSM11 powered 240kW generators with a harbour set that is a Cummins-powered 60 KW generator.

The AHT is fitted with a 250kW bow thruster and a 90kW stern thruster. On deck a double drum winch for anchor handling and towing is equipped with a tension meter and a 180 ton holding brake. The boat's stern roller is 1.6m by 4m.
