    Deep Marine Technology acquires construction vessel

    Working with Otto Candies, Houston-based Deep Marine Technology (DMT) is acquiring a newbuild 240ft Class II DP MSV to be named Deep Marine 1.

    Deep Marine 1, which will be commissioned shortly, will be outfitted with a subsea winch spooled with 10,000ft of 1.5in wire, and a 50 ton knuckleboom crane to complement 4,600 square feet of usable deck space.

    Deep Marine 1 will also be permanently equipped with one of DMT's new build 10,000ft rated Triton XLS 125hp heavy-duty work class remotely operated vehicle systems, a 2,000ft rated directly operated vehicle called the DeepWorker 2000, and a mixed gas diving spread.
