Remedial Offshore (Remedial Cyprus PCL) has announced that PEMEX has issued a call for tender detailing the need for two self-propelled auto-elevating workover platforms to be operated under a three-year contract.

Remedial Offshore CEO Rich Altman said: "Our Elevating Service Vessel (ESV) concept appears to be well suited to the requirements detailed in the call for tender. We will propose our ESV technology as the best value solution for Pemex’s requirements.”

Remedial Offshore was formed to design and operate Elevating Support Vessel or 'ESV' units for oil and gas operating companies worldwide.

Its proprietary ESV design provides a hybrid between a jack-up drilling rig and an ocean-going marine vessel.

Said the company: "By providing an elevated work platform with high deck-load capacity, the ESV approach makes complex well intervention and/or workovers feasible in a safe operational work environment."
