Ancora and Hawk now due end of February

    Vessel & ROV News // February 1, 2008

Ocean Heavylift has issued a further statement about progress with its two semi-submersible heav lift vessels, HeavyLift Ancora and HeavyLift Hawk.

Said Ocean HeavyLift: "Songa Ancora Pte Ltd, sellers of Ancora (to be renamed HeavyLift Ancora) and Hawk (HeavyLift Hawk), has informed Ocean HeavyLift that Ancora will not be finished before the Chinese New Year, as earlier anticipated."

"Heavy workload at the shipyard and adverse weather conditions in China lately are the reasons for the delay. The sellers expect the vessel to be delivered by the end of February."

Songa Ancora Pte Ltd has further indicated that the delivery of Hawk will be delayed to the first half of April.

Ocean HeavyLift said it was in "constructive dialogue with its customers" about making some fleet rescheduling arrangements.
