Ezra completes maiden pipelay and offshore construction project

    Projects and Operations // January 28, 2008

Ezra Holdings Limited has announced that the Group's construction and production arm, 48.9 per cent-owned EOC Limited, has successfully executed and completed its first offshore construction and pipelay job.

The Greenfields International (GFI) platform, located in the Bualang Field in the Gulf of Thailand, is ready to begin drilling now that the jacket, topsides, pipelines and FPSO moorings have been safely installed.

"The credit goes to Lewek Champion the first dynamically positioned heavy lift, accommodation and pipelay vessel in EOC's fleet which wrapped up the job well within schedule and specification," said Eara.

The GFI contract was secured through Emas Offshore Construction and Production Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of Oslo-Main Board listed EOC Limited.

Lewek Champion's DP2 capability was used in the project for pipelaying, jacket installation and heavy lifting of the topsides, all performed without the use of conventional anchors and mooring systems.
