    Neuville delivers to Texas Crewboats

    Greater Scott is due to be delivered later this month.

    Later this month, Neuville boatworks is due to deliver a new crewboat to Texas Crewboats.

    The new boat, Greater Scott, is 158ft by 30ft with a 12.5ft moulded depth. It is powered by four Cummins KTA38 M2 engines each producing 1,350hp at 1,950rpm for a total of 5,400hp.

    The engines turn into Twin Disc MG6650 gears with 2.47:1 ratios spinning four shafts with Hy-Torq 45/46-inch Nibral propellers from Jefferson Propeller. The boat is fitted with a 75hp electric over hydraulic 24-inch tunnel bow thruster.

    Tankage is provided for 21,000 gallons of fuel, 38,000 gallons of rig water and 1230 gallons of potable water. Maximum deck cargo will be about 280 long tons on the 2,242 square foot open deck.

    Seating is provided for 66 passengers in total with 53 in reclining seats. Sleeping accommodation is provided for eight crew members in four double bunks.

    Greater Scott will be certified for USCG Subchapter T.
