Wavefield Inseis says its purpose-built seismic vessel Geowave Endeavour will be one of the most powerful and high-capacity vessels in the world when it is delivered next year.
"With 16-streamer capacity and eight gun strings, Geowave Endeavour is perfectly suited to meet the growing demand for high-density 4-D seismic data and the need for wide-azimuth and multi-azimuth data acquisition," said the company in a statement.
Currently being built in Norway this 106m long vessel has a breadth of 26.6m and is designed to accommodate the latest advances in seismic technology and to utilise techniques such as under-/over streamers and source configurations.
"Geowave Endeavour will be the company flag ship when it is launched in April 2008," said the company.
