Offshore Shipbrokers Ltd (OSL) reports that the sales and newbuilding market has been very active over the last two months with a number of new vessels ordered as well as some interesting moves in the secondhand market, the most notable being the returnof Havila Offshore with the acquisition of five vessels from Seacor Marine and one from Harrison Clyde. OSL said Rovde has also extended their fleet with the purchase of the Inverclyde.
"All these deals have been done at premium prices, which demonstrates the optimism that is about, especially in Norway where monies can be raised quickly against such projects," said OSL.
