Island Empress secures charter from Total E&P Limited

    Vessel & ROV News // November 15, 2007

Island Empress will work for Total E&P Limited.

Island Offshore christened and named its latest new vessel, Island Empress, at Aker Yards, Søviknes, on November 9th, and has announced that the UT 755 LN PSV will be chartered by Total E&P UK Limited after completing a charter originally assigned to Island Pride.

The charter with Total E&P Limited is for four years.

"Island Empress will be delivered with new features compared to other vessels of this design, and we are confident that these upgrades will enhance the efficiency and the safe operation of the vessel," said Island Offshore.

Apart for the vessel being extended by 3m, the cargo rail has been improved, the engines upgraded with larger, resiliently mounted main engines, and more powerful bow thrusters fitted.
