Pipeline Industries Guild (Scottish Branch) appoints new ChairmanOrganisations and Associations // November 7, 2007
Andy Woolgar, Subsea 7's UK Operations Director, has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Scottish Branch of the Pipeline Industries Guild in the year it celebrates its 50th anniversary.
Woolgar, who has been involved in the pipeline industry for 21 years, was confirmed in the position at a prestigious industry dinner at the Marriot Dalmahoy Hotel, near Edinburgh recently.
He succeeds David Briggs, also from Subsea 7, who has been involved with the Pipeline Industries Guild for over 14 years. During that time, Mr Briggs had been Chairman of the Aberdeen section on two occasions prior to being Chairman of the Scottish Branch.
The Pipeline Industries Guild brings together members with interests in pipelines worldwide, transporting hydrocarbon products, chemical, water, wastewater, and may other substances, both on and offshore.
