SCAN Geophysical issues new update on delivery of SCAN Stigandi

SCAN Geophysical has issued a statement about progress on its vessel SCAN Stigandi.
Said the comapny: "With reference to the stock exchange notice of October 17, 2007... the shipyard Irving Shipbuilding has provided an updated production schedule with expected delivery of SCAN Stigandi on February 20th, 2008."
SCAN expects operations to commence during March 2008.
Neptune Offshore AS, who are supervising the upgrade on behalf of owner Neptune Seismic, says it is confident that the expected delivery date is realistic.
Additional engineering capacity has been secured, and the yard has scheduled work over the weekends. Critical sub-contracted work and vessel equipment are being secured.
