Aker Oilfield Services secures deal with PetrobrasNews // October 25, 2007
Aker ASA has announced that its offshore services unit, Aker Oilfield Services (AOS), has won a long-term vessel supply deal with Petrobras worth at least US$350 million.
The contract, which is to commence in 2010 at the latest,is for an initial five years.
Under the terms of the deal, AOS will provide and operate a deepwater Subsea Equipment Support Vessel (SESV) for Petrobras from its operational base in Macae in the state of Rio, Brazil.
Aker Oilfield Services is part of the Aker group and is owned by jointly by Aker, DOF Subsea and Aker Kvaerner.
