    VOS subsidiary MPI orders two windfarm maintenance vessels

    MPI Offshore Ltd, a subsidiary of Vroon Offshore Services, has ordered two windfarm maintenance vessels at Medina shipyard on the Isle of Wight in the UK. The new vessels will be delivered in 2008.

    The new vessels will be 20.47m overall with hull length of 16.75m, beam overall of 8.00m, draft of 1.10m, displacement (lightship) of 35,000kg, and will have a total fuel capacity of 10,000 litres and water capacity of 400 litres. They will have a complement 12 passengers and up to three crew.
