IMCA appoints new Technical AdviserNews // May 10, 2007
Paul Evans has been appointed Technical Adviser – Diving at the International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA), expanding the technical team at the Association to four.
Evans joins IMCA from Maersk Oil Qatar where he has been Marine Field Supervisor since 2003 overseeing all SPM and production hose operations; acting as the contact point for all subsea operations, related audits and mobilizations and overseeing and planning all ROV operations and subsea field work.
Additionally, as a diving and marine consultant during this period he has compiled scopes of work, project planning, project management; acted as offshore client representative; and carried out dive system and marine spread audits.
“We are delighted that Paul has joined us, he brings a wealth of experience and practical knowledge to the team and thus to our members,” said Hugh Williams, IMCA’s Chief Executive. “Having been an IMCA diving supervisor, a superintendent, operations manager and more recently working as an oil company client dealing with subsea and marine operations he has seen things from both sides of the fence, something that will prove invaluable."
