    Global Industries installing pipelines for PEMEX

    Global Industries has announced that its wholly owned subsidiary Global Offshore Mexico S de R L de CV has received a letter of intent from PEMEX Exploration & Production to install four pipelines in the Ku-Maloob-Zaap Field in the Bay of Campeche.

    The Ku-Maloob-Zaap contract calls for installation of two 12in pipelines, one 24in pipeline and, in Zaap C, one 20in diameter pipeline.

    The DLB Cherokee will transfer from the Gulf of Mexico and join the Titan 2 in execution of the Ku-C project. Installation of the pipelines is contracted at approximately US$53 million and is due to be completed by the end of the first quarter of 2005.

    The company has also announced that it Global Offshore Mexico S de R L de CV has received a letter of intent from PEMEX Exploration & Production to install three pipelines in the Litoral Tabasco Field. The Litoral Tabasco contract calls for installationof one 12in and two 10in diameter pipelines, one of which will begin at Yum and terminate at 2B.

    The Mexico-based Shawnee will perform the Yum installation. Installation of the pipelines is contracted at approximately US$26 million and is also scheduled for completion this quarter.
