Another ROV order for SMDHVessel & ROV News // February 19, 2007
Following on from the success of its last order in May 2006 with i-Tech a division of global subsea contractor Subsea 7, SMD Hydrovision (SMDH) has secured a contract for a substantial number of additional Centurion QX Work Class ROV systems.
The 125hp Centurion QX uses SMDH Curvetech hydraulic components and the DVECS control throughout.
SMDH says 2,000m and 3000m rated systems will be delivered including SMDH designed launch and recovery systems, winches, tether management systems and associated control and workshop cabins.
This contract will also see the debut of SMDH’s new deep water Garage TMS, which is designed to accept small to medium size work class ROVs.
The Q-Series range includes the Quantum, Quasar, Quasar Compact, Quark and Centurion QX ROVs.
