OE 2007 already a sell outNews // December 13, 2006
Unprecedented demand by the global upstream industry to
get a slice of the action at Offshore Europe 2007 means that the event’s exhibition is already a sell-out – the first time this has ever been achieved before the show year actually starts.
OE 2007, the largest oil and gas industry event outside North America, is held every two years in Europe’s energy capital of Aberdeen, Scotland. The conference and exhibition’s
unrivalled reputation for delivering a leading line-up of individuals and companies from around the world has been reflected by the strong demand for exhibition space.
With this demand in mind, the show organisers The Offshore Europe Partnership Ltd, a joint venture between Reed
Spearhead Exhibitions and the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), are currently investigating further opportunities and options for increasing available stand space.
As well as the outstanding demand levels, the organisers are also continuing to evolve Offshore Europe’s already wide-ranging scope, with the event for the first time ever to now feature topical luncheons on the first three days. Details of the subjects to be featured, plus details of the main conference plenary and technical sessions, will be unveiled next year.
Nik Rudge, Group Exhibition Director, Reed Spearhead Exhibitions, said: “OE’s importance as a forum for professionals to meet, debate and discuss E&P technologies and solutions is reflected by the demand from the global industry for exhibition space."
“We are already investigating further options whereby we can increase the opportunities for companies to gain exposure at the event, including online opportunities. In this way we can further help meet the demand and provide an environment where industry professionals can discover the technical solutions that will take the worldwide business forward.”
The last event in 2005 attracted a total of 1,661 exhibitors, itself a record number, while more than 32,000 industry professionals from 108 countries attended - which broke the all-time record for both delegates and exhibitors.
OE 2007 will also feature national pavilions from Austria, Canada, China, Denmark, The Netherlands, the Faroe Islands, France, Germany, Italy, Norway, Scotland, the UK and the United
To be held between 4-7th September in Aberdeen, the event is being held under the theme ‘Rediscovering The Future’. The deadline for abstracts to be submitted for proposed
conference presentations is set for 8 January, with up to 200 expected to be entered for consideration.
