Marin Teknikk has confirmed that it has secured a contract with Kleven Verft AS for delivery of design and engineering package for a MT 6016 Mk III for Rem Offshore, in Fosnavaag, Norway.
The vessel is a multifunctional large-size PSV of new design and was designed and developed by Marin Teknikk in co-operation with the owner and yard.
The vessel has a length overall of 93.6m, beam of 19.70m and a working deck of 1,000 m2 with full under deck tank capacities, and will be prepared for ROV, light subsea construction services and emergency rescue.
The accommodation is arranged for 50 persons.
”The MT6016 design has proven itself as a flexible design, and may easily be modified to suit other purposes than supply. On this vessel we will maintain full supply capacity below deck”, said owner Åge Remøy.
The vessel will be delivered in the first quarter of 2009 and will be Kleven’s new building no 325.
