Sanco Shipping has exercised an option on a second MM80 seismic ship.
Sanco Shipping has exercised its option for a second MM80 seismic vessel at Vaagland Båtbyggeri shipyard in Norway.
The vessel will be delivered in the spring of 2009 and the hull will be built by Helgeland Sveiseindustri in northern Norway.
As with the first vessel, this new vessel will be chartered by RXT, which specializes in multi component seismic sea-floor acquisition.
This is the fifth vessel of Multi Maritime design to be built at Vaagland Båtbyggeri. Currently 18 vessels designed by Multi Maritime are on order, in addition to a major conversion project.
