Saipem rules out acquisition of Technip

Saipem has issued a statement refuting rumours and press speculation about its alledged interest in acquiring rival Technip.
In a statement, Saipem said: "With reference to the recent market rumours in the press, following the request of the Italian Stock Exchange Authority, Saipem states that it is not planning to launch a bid on Technip."
