Severe weather hampers North Sea ops

    News // November 2, 2006

Offshore Shipbrokers Ltd (OSL) reports that severe weather continues to hamper ongoing operations across the North Sea, however conditions are expected to improve in the next couple of days.

In the company's latest daily report, issued on November 1st, OSL said that as a result the spot market was still reasonably busy with a number of fixtures concluded since Tuesday and further fresh requirements coming to the market.

Availability remained good with six AHTS currently in Aberdeen and four PSVs available by the end of Wednesday, but current sea conditions were reportedly preventing vessels from sailing.
