    Cummins Mid-South providing auxiliaries

    Their main propulsion engines have dominated some significant sectors of the Gulf Coast shipbuilding industry, and now Cummins Mid-South is gaining significant orders in some newer markets.

    At Eastern Shipbuilding in the US, a DP2 PSV is being built for Harvey Gulf with three KTA38M2 engines, each generating 1,200hp at 1,800rpm, providing power for the 280ft vesselís two bow thrusters and single stern thruster.

    In addition, the Harvey Gulf boat has three KTA19 DM-powered generator sets and a single Cummins 6CTA8.3DM-powered emergency genset.
