AHTS availability remains extremely tight says brokerNews // October 10, 2006
Offshore Shipbrokers Ltd (OSL) in the UK says anchor handler availability in the North Sea "remains extremely tight" with only the slim possibility of a couple of vessels coming free, subject to their rig move options not being declared.
"Any AHTS availability is, however, expected to quickly be snapped up and fixed onwards given the current outstanding demand," said OSL in its most recent daily update.
A handful of fixtures were concluded over the weekend, two AHTS fixtures being reported at circa £100,000 level each, whilst a PSV fixed for a cargo run at an unconfirmed rate but believed to be in the high teens.
Four PSVs are still currently prompt in Aberdeen however a couple of cargo requirements remain unfixed, said OSL.
