    Another contract for Marin Teknikk

    Norwegian naval architects Marin Teknikk have secured a new contract with Fitjar Mekaniske Verksted AS for delivery of a design and engineering package for a MT 6009 L for Olympic Shipping AS, in Fosnavåg, Norway.

    The vessel is a multifunction medium-size PSV of a new design, developed and designed by Marin Teknikk in cooperation with owner.

    The ship is a further development of the popular MT 6009 and MT6009 Mk II design and has an overall length of 79.67m, beam of 16.40m and a working deck area of 745m2 with full under-deck tank capacities.

    The accommodation is arranged for 40 persons, and the contract includes a removable cargo rail on starboard side and foundation for a 25 ton offshore crane.

    With this arrangement the vessel is prepared to operate in the light ROV & subsea market in addition to straight supply duties.
     
    The MT 6009 L will bear the class notation: DNV +1A1 - E0 - SF, dk(+), hl(2,5), AUTR, LFL*. Class notation CLEAN and COMF-V (rating 3). The bridge arrangement will comply with Naut OSV class.
